Hi Ben,
My name is Daniel, last year I was elected as a deputy Chairperson for our Organisation. So early this Year our Provincial Chairperson resigned from the Organisation, wethout telling me.so what happened is that few 2 of our Executive Members then held their their meeting with their close friends wethout telling me and other 23 Executive Members, So we where not invited when they elected themself at their pravite meeting.
So one of the two members who organised such meeting claims to be a Chairperson and his friend as a deputy.
What Law applies regarding my matter, cause I believe for a new person to be elected all 25 Executive Members must be invited and being told and other Provincial Members as Well.
Cause I take so as legally elected Deputy Chairperson, I take myself as a Chairperson when the Chair resign, I don't knwo if I'm correct. What can I do regarding this matter and what can I do as well, what procedure must have been taken by the time the Chair resign and what procedures are correct to correct this moving forward.
I will be read your positive response in my email, please inbox me as soonas you get a chance to respond.
Regard,
Daniel
Dear Daniel,
I say this is outright tyranny of the highest order! Shame on these members. Your answer is in the bylaws. If they have violated the bylaws then the election that they had is null and void. But maybe you do not want to be part of an organization with members that behave this way.
Cheerio!
Little Ben
