If someone serves less than half of the term, to complete the term after someone has passed, is that time period considered a full term? So here is the real life example: The organization's terms are for three years.The I representative passed away. At the end of March 2014, I replaced her on the board through June 2015. Does that year count as a full term?
Dear Lisa,
The rule is that if someone fills more than half of a term then that is considered a full term. So in a three-year term that would one and half years. It looks like you only served one year and three months. In that case, you would be eligible to serve your own three-year term.
